Cerebral Palsy is a non-progressive disorder of movement and posture caused by damage to the motor areas of the brain. They have been identified according to the type of movement disorder, characterized by shakiness of limbs, tightness of the muscles of the arms and legs, or involuntary, purposeful movements of limbs, uncoordinated movements and lack of balance.
Music Therapy has proven its therapeutic value in persons with cerebral palsy. Music can be used in a wide range of treatment programs for an equally wide range of ages. Music activities such as singing, playing musical instruments, dancing and creative movement accommodate and fulfill the needs of people with different therapeutic needs.
